What’s on
From October 7th to 29th, discover Iqtibās, a Franco-Moroccan tale of love and rage by Sarah M., blending theatre, dance, and slam poetry. In Essaouira, Agadir, Marrakech, El Jadida, Casablanca, Meknès, Tétouan, Tangier, and Rabat.
Abel and Balkis love each other with an absolute love, convinced that their story will free them from their wounds and the legacies of the past. But when an earthquake strikes Morocco, their destinies take a turn. Balkis's disappearance leads Abel on a quest where he must learn to listen to a language, a memory, and a history that were previously foreign to him.
At the crossroads of theatre, dance, and live music, Iqtibās explores with force and poetry the questions of love, identity, transmission, and dialogue between cultures. Driven by the performances of Hayet Darwich and Maxime Lévêque, accompanied on stage by musician Osam, this creation by Sarah M. offers a sensitive journey between France and Morocco, where languages, memories, and emotions resonate with one another.
