Arabicafé review: our verdict
Just a few steps up, and the reward is there: a terrace overlooking Khaima Square and the neighbouring cafés, away from the bustle of the souk. In the kitchen, the crêpe reigns supreme, sweet or savoury. The Dubai crêpe, the most requested, comes generous; the Moroccan crêpe is packed with fresh and dried fruits, and the simple lemon-sugar one never disappoints.
In the morning, the brunches mix Moroccan plates with more Western formulas, always generous, with coffees in all their forms, a matcha that holds its own, and a few cocktails. The team, smiling, quickly puts you at ease. A good break for a couple or a small group between strolls in the medina; less so for those put off by the stairs, or for those seeking a light meal.
The dish to order: the Dubai crêpe. The trap: come on a Wednesday morning, as the house only opens on that day at 5 p.m. The good slot: brunch, from 9 a.m. on other days.
