Our review
In the Hivernage district, on rue Haroun Errachid, the Sofitel Marrakech Palais Impérial offers the advantage of the quarter: tranquility and greenery, with the medina just a few minutes away by taxi. The rooms overlook the gardens, some with views of the Atlas Mountains, and in the evening you dine at L'Orangerie, the hotel's restaurant, where the service makes all the difference.
What stands out is the attention to detail by the staff, from reception to room service, and a generous breakfast that makes you want to linger. Families will find a children's club, couples the spa and the gardens: a perfect address for a weekend getaway, a relaxing stay, or parents visiting. In October 2026, the hotel will host « Silent Synchrony » by Priamo Tolu, portraits of jazz legends (Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, James Brown) captured on stage between 1983 and 1993, as part of the Marrakech Photography Festival.
Note: it is a large chain hotel, offering classic comfort rather than the charm of a riad—for a medina atmosphere, you'll need to take a taxi. But for a peaceful sleep and to enjoy the gardens in the evening, it is a safe choice.
