Our review
In the Jaccard building, at the corner of Mohammed V Avenue and Mohamed Baqual Street, André le Chapelier runs a boutique entirely dedicated to headwear. André, grandson of a French hatter, has personally trained his team, who craft Panamas here using raw materials from Ecuador. Nearby, there are Borsalinos, capelines, and berets, in a wide range of colors and styles.
The boutique is small but well-stocked, for men and women alike. Time is taken: you try on, compare, and the team advises without pressure, with great kindness. Bespoke is the real plus: you choose your model, provide your head circumference, and the hat can be ready in two days. A good stop to equip yourself for summer, or for an unusual gift.
Know this: expect to pay from 450 dirhams for a Panama, and the boutique is closed on Sundays (open from 10:30 to 19:00 the rest of the week). A second address exists at 33 Majorelle if you are more on that side. A well-chosen hat here will follow you for a long time.
