Clay Oven review: our verdict
Extreme spice lovers will still find themselves hungry, and that's by design: Clay Oven tames the fire of Indian cuisine without stripping it of its spices. The dishes arrive fragrant, balanced, and in generous portions, in a dining room whose decor establishes a genuine Indian atmosphere, on Boulevard Ghandi in Maarif.
You come here for a first approach to India at the table, for a dinner for two or a family gathering where not everyone has the same relationship with heat. The service makes the difference: they guide you through the menu, and the staff are the kind to keep a forgotten wallet aside until its owner returns. For those seeking the most fiery India, however, this is not the right door.
The trap: the rice, which is not included in the dishes and must be ordered as an extra. The good time: outside Ramadan; the iftar, at 250 DH (as of March 2026), arrives without dessert and is a bit short on protein, whereas the regular menu holds up much better.
