Casadonna review: our verdict
Even before the menu, it's the greenery that strikes at Casadonna: plants everywhere, elegant decor, and a kitchen visible from the dining room. At the stove, an Italian chef; on the plate, Italian cuisine with Mediterranean touches, and for dessert, a pistachio cremoso that has its loyalists.
You come here with family, between friends, and especially to celebrate something: the team welcomes the cake you bring and orchestrates the surprise without fuss. Service is quick and smiling, the manager present and attentive. Big appetites are warned: some dishes lack generosity for their price, and the cuisine, praised by some, leaves others with an impression of blandness. The setting, however, puts everyone in agreement, on Ibnou Malik street in Maarif.
The good tip: bring your birthday cake, the house takes care of the staging. The trap: the Caesar salad, greener than garnished for what it costs. The good time slot: lunch with family, continuous service from noon to 11 pm.
