Deserted Photobooth review: our verdict
The concept is simple: you sit in the booth, four flashes, and you leave with a strip of photos with a retro charm, tinged with Moroccan nostalgia. Deserted Photobooth, run by Moroccans on Kennaria Street, had the simple idea of installing this old-fashioned ritual in the middle of the medina, and the prints are frankly successful.
The welcome is impressive: the team makes those who have never posed in a booth feel at ease and welcomes couples as well as groups of friends or families. It's a souvenir that differs from photos of riads, to slip into a wallet or stick on a fridge. Those who want studio portraits, or who count every dirham, will find the price high for a simple strip.
The best time slot: late in the day, the booth remaining open until 10 p.m., to finish a walk in the medina with a souvenir.
