Royal Hideaway Casablanca review: our verdict
The Royal Hideaway is the former Farah Hotel on Avenue des FAR, acquired in 2023 by the Spanish Barceló group and completely renovated to launch its luxury brand in Morocco. The decor draws on Casablanca's Art Deco style, featuring noble materials and carefully crafted lighting across 17 floors and 310 rooms, including 14 suites. The most sought-after rooms overlook the sea or the heated outdoor pool, while the suites, ranging from 60 to 93 m², occupy the upper floors above the city.
On the dining front, Lumina serves world cuisine around live cooking stations, the Breeze Pool Bar is set by the water, the Champs Sports Bar offers sports-themed tapas and cocktails, and the Cocoa Café delivers a Parisian coffee experience. A spa, gym, and nine meeting rooms complete the offering, supported by a attentive team. This is the hotel for business travelers, train arrivals, and urban weekend walks between Mohammed V Square and the old medina. It is not a beach resort destination, nor is it suitable for travelers with their dogs: pets are not accepted.
The pitfall: booking for the rooftop B-Heaven or Azurita, both temporarily closed (October 2026). The best deal: the Premium Sea View room, the only category advertised facing the ocean. The best time slot: late afternoon by the pool.
