Our review
At the corner of Mohammed V Avenue and Oum Errabia Street, in the heart of Guéliz, Baan Thaï Institut occupies the floors of the Les Jasmins residence, spanning 850 m² across two levels. Founded by Brigitte Loudet, trained at the Wat Pho School in Bangkok, the institute relies on qualified Thai therapists. The specialty is traditional Thai massage, all pressure and stretching, which here blends with the Moroccan hammam.
Dimm lighting, soft music, and floral scents: you quickly escape the bustle of the avenue. The menu ranges from massage alone to hammam and scrub formulas, with African oils for some treatments, a massage designed for golfers, and manicure, pedicure, and waxing services. From the rooftop terrace, you can see the Koutoubia, the rooftops of the medina, and the Atlas Mountains in the distance. An address for a half-day just for yourself, an outing with friends, or a gift.
Know this: the quality of the massage can vary from session to session, and complaints are not always well handled. Book in advance and specify the desired intensity. Expect more than 250 dirhams; it is open every day from 10 am to 10 pm, and you leave with your body unbound.
