Bliss Terra Janna review: our verdict
Vaulted ceilings, domes, and sand-colored earth walls: Bliss Terra Janna has built everything from natural materials across more than five hectares of gardens in the Palmeraie. The rooms feature barrel-vaulted ceilings and arched windows, the restaurant's arcades open to the light, and three pools hide among the shrubbery, including a pool bordered by arches and a canopy bed placed right by the water's edge.
Families and couples come here to disconnect: the vast and quiet estate, attentive staff, and a dining experience that defines the stay, between the Terra Janna restaurant and the Shams by the poolside. The venue also hosts weddings, outdoor concerts, and festivals. This is not a base for hopping between outings in the medina: the estate is set apart from Marrakech, and that is its entire appeal.
The good deal: Riad Bananier, a seven-room house within the estate, perfect for a large family or a group of friends. The best time to visit: late afternoon by the water, when the earth walls turn ochre. The pitfall: forgetting that every trip into town requires a journey.
