IZZA review: our verdict
Every artwork has its own QR code, every plant its label, and a subtle ambient scent floats through the house: IZZA has made design its raison d'être. In the Sidi Ahmed Soussi quarter, on the medina side, the hotel also serves up a daily treat in the rooms. On the rooftop, the restaurant serves creative cuisine.
For a quiet couple's stay, the address ticks many boxes, and the boutique, though pricey, is beautiful and extends the experience. It is less suitable for families looking to spend their afternoons by the water: the pool is small, and access can be denied if another group is already occupying it. The service is friendly but slow, even when the restaurant isn't full, and gets overwhelmed during busy hours; a table reserved for three can become a table for two.
Le bon plan: dinner on the rooftop without staying at the hotel, as the restaurant also welcomes passersby. Le bon créneau: arrive early for dinner, before the service gets saturated and while there is still enough light to read the menu.
