Café des Oudayas review: our verdict
The Bouregreg River flowing into the ocean just beneath the terrace is the view everyone comes to see at Café des Oudayas, located in the kasbah. The menu hardly varies, and that is very much to the point: sweet mint tea, as it should be, served with a plate of fresh Moroccan pastries.
The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff is friendly, and the place makes for a perfect break after wandering the kasbah's alleys. Whether you are visiting with family, a couple, or friends passing through Rabat, the tea and cake formula always works. Despite its very touristy location, prices remain accessible, even if the pastries do add up. However, there is no question of working there or having lunch; you come for a cup of tea, the river, and nothing more.
The tip: a mint tea and two or three pastries, at 10 DH per item (as of September 2026).
