La Dragée d'Or review: our verdict
Behind the display case with its pale blue woodwork, everything is designed to be given away. La Dragée d'Or, a Moroccan chocolatier born in Casablanca in 1997, lines up pralines, ganaches, fruit-nut caramelized florentins, mendiants, and lace-crepe cigars, then slides them into golden boxes, ribbon-wrapped baskets, or porcelain coupes filled with chocolates.
People come here for a birth, a wedding, a dinner where you don't want to arrive empty-handed, or a business gift that needs to make a good impression. The reception has the manners of a great house, and you take your time composing your gift set. This is not the address for a quick little pleasure: here, you buy to give, and the beautiful compositions are priced accordingly.
The best time to visit: Monday to Saturday from 9:30 am to 8 pm; on Sunday, the shop opens from 11 am to 6 pm. Regarding prices: the porcelain coupes filled with chocolates range from approximately 220 to 1,600 DH (brand website, October 2026 data).
