Blue Ribbon review: our verdict
Finding the entrance to Blue Ribbon takes a little effort, but the carrot cake rewards the search, tied for first place with a revisited brownie. Behind it lies a healthy coffee shop that also excels at savory dishes: avocado toast, homemade sourdough bread, excellent coffee, fresh products, and clean plates, all for a breakfast that leaves you feeling light.
The setting is simple, the staff attentive, and it's a place to sit alone or with a partner for breakfast, a light brunch, or a quiet break with Wi-Fi, even for dogs. The bill remains reasonable given the quality of the products. It's not for dinner or an evening coffee: the house closes at 6 p.m., and at 4 p.m. on Sundays. Those dreaming of a rich, overflowing brunch will go elsewhere, as the menu focuses on fresh and light options.
The dish to order: the carrot cake, or the revisited brownie. The best time to visit: breakfast, from 9 a.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. on Sundays. The pitfall: arriving without having spotted number 96, as the address is a bit hard to find.
