La Terraza review: our verdict
La Terraza is first and foremost about the view: from the roof of the Amani Hotel, the gaze sweeps over the pink buildings of Guéliz to the palm trees. Under a reed pergola, striped cushion benches, rattan armchairs, string lights, and a small tiled basin create a rooftop without frills, open from afternoon until midnight.
You climb up for a drink in the sun, an afternoon mocktail, or a light dinner with friends, and the atmosphere takes a step up on match nights. The service is smiling and quick. On the plate side, we stick to the simple and robust: grills, tajine, tiramisu. This is not the address for a gourmet dinner, nor for a takeaway order, which disappoints.
The dish to order: the plate of assorted grills with its vegetables and rice, to taste a bit of everything. The good slot: sunset, when the terrace turns orange. The trap: the takeaway skewers, lean and dry.
