Hôtel Amani review: our verdict
From the street, the Amani looks like any other modern city hotel, with rounded corners and pink balconies. Inside, the decor changes: a zellige fountain in the lobby, painted ceilings, and a tiled patio around a small blue pool with mosaic tables. On the ground floor, the Karma Café plays the literary café role, complete with walls of books.
It is a practical base for a city stay: simple and clean rooms, a full breakfast, on-site hammam and massages, and a reception that knows how to solve problems. It is ideal for a couple or family wanting Moroccan decor without the labyrinth of the medina. It is not a luxury hotel or an intimate riad: the rooms remain classic, and the patio pool is more for refreshing than for swimming.
The good tip: a stop at the hammam with a massage before leaving. Note: the city center is nearby; for the medina, count on a taxi or a good walk.
