Our review
Rue Abou Abbas El Sebti, behind the walls of the Royal Mansour, Le Jardin sets its tables under the pergolas, among the plants of an Arabo-Andalusian-inspired garden, just steps from the large swimming pool. The menu follows Ibn Battuta's travels: sushi, sashimi and rolls, steamed dishes and wok stir-fries, grilled fish and meats over wood fire. Standouts include grilled wild prawns, black cod marinated in miso, sea bass carpaccio and lamb chops from the Rhamna.
This is the most relaxed table in the palace, without compromising on product quality or the craftsmanship that adorns every corner. People come here for a leisurely lunch with friends or a partner; in the evening, the bar launches its happy hours. A day formula includes a deckchair, access to the pool and a three-course lunch, drinks extra.
Know this: prices are those of a palace and portions remain measured for the rate; service, meanwhile, can be uneven from one table to another. Everything takes place outdoors, so bring a jacket on cool days. In summer, during the low season, it's easier to find a nice table, and a valet waits at the entrance.
