Les Bains d'Orient review: our verdict
Between exfoliation and massage, we head up to the roof for tea: this is the break that sets Les Bains d'Orient apart. Down below, black soap and exfoliation are led by two practitioners; up above, a peaceful, sun-drenched rooftop where certain treatments, such as facial and head massages, take place outdoors. The complete ceremony adds a bath sprinkled with rose petals.
We come here in pairs, whether sisters, friends, or a couple, often for a first Moroccan hammam experience without any rush: the team accompanies every step, and the precise, firm duo massages are the specialty that comes back most often. The place appeals to those who want to be pampered after a few days in the desert or a week of souks. Less so for those seeking the rough, collective bathing of neighborhood hammams: here, everything is designed for comfort, in the Arset Aouzal style.
The good tip: the ceremony, which chains hammam, treatments, a rooftop break, and massage without requiring you to choose. The pitfall: showing up on a whim; it's better to book a slot before coming, especially for the ceremony.
