Our review
Rue Dar el Bacha, in the medina, Dar Moha has settled into a former palace of Pasha Glaoui, which was also the home of couturier Pierre Balmain. Chef Moha revisits Moroccan cuisine here, opening it to outside influences: reinvented pastilla, tajines and couscous with unexpected combinations, desserts that pair local fruits with traditional pastry.
The meal often passes through the tasting menu and its array of creative starters, the most successful moment of the evening. You dine in the courtyard, around the pool and under the greenery, while musicians play in the evening. Service is precise and attentive, at the level of a fine-dining table. A setting tailored for a romantic dinner, a birthday or a final vacation evening you want to make memorable.
Note: after the starters, the main courses are less convincing, with sometimes dry meats and measured portions in light of the bill, which easily exceeds 500 dirhams. Reservation is recommended. For the setting, the music and the round of starters, the evening leaves a lovely memory.
