Manaos review: our verdict
On Saturday nights, dining at Manaos is no longer the main event: you sing and dance between courses. The live music turns this Corniche rooftop into a party hall, and the Italian kitchen keeps up the pace without faltering, serving generous plates with well-established flavors. The best tables overlook the ocean, and they make up half the memory.
For a group of friends, a birthday, or the big night of a stay in Casablanca, the formula works: attentive welcome, service that keeps the rhythm even when the room is full. On other nights, without the live music, you come mainly for the table and the sea. No point aiming for a hushed tête-à-tête on a Saturday, or an early dinner: doors open only at 7 p.m.
The best slot: Saturday night, for the live music. The good tip: ask for a table facing the sea when booking. The trap: showing up on a Sunday or Monday, days of closure; from Tuesday to Saturday, however, you can stay until 3 a.m.
