Our review
Rue Yves Saint Laurent, just a few metres from the Jardin Majorelle, the museum opened in 2017 is easily spotted by its terracotta brick façade, whose pattern recalls the weave of a fabric. Inside, the permanent gallery showcases the couturier's pieces who made Marrakech his second home, alongside a temporary exhibition hall, a bookshop, an auditorium and a terrace café-restaurant.
The visit is short: allow between twenty minutes and an hour depending on the current exhibition. The easiest option is the combined ticket with the Jardin Majorelle and the Musée Pierre Bergé des Arts berbères, three complementary visits for a half-day. For lovers of fashion and design, or a cultural morning for two. In October 2026, the museum also hosts two evenings of the Rencontres de la Photographie de Marrakech, including the launch of the book by architectural photographer Massimo Listri.
Know this: it closes on Wednesdays, entry is by time slot (book online, especially if you also want the garden on the same day), photos are forbidden in certain rooms and the welcome at the entrance can be brisk, bottled water included. Come in the late afternoon when there are fewer people.
