Papagayo review: our verdict
The night begins when others are closing. The Papagayo, a nightclub located on the Riu Tikida Beach side in Founty, opens its doors at midnight and doesn’t switch off the lights until 5 am. With DJs spinning tracks, fast service, and security at the entrance, it operates like a proper Agadir club designed for dancing until dawn.
On the best nights, the room is packed, the music holds up, and some people even come from Marrakech specifically for a Gadira night. On other evenings, the vibe drops off and the place feels more like a bar where you have a drink without an active dance floor. It’s a good spot for a group of friends looking to go out late; for a quiet first drink or a show, you should aim elsewhere and earlier.
The catch: going without checking if a party is scheduled, as the atmosphere varies greatly from one night to the next. As for hours, there are no exceptions: every day from midnight to 5 am, making it a late-night outing rather than a start-of-evening destination.
