Riad Alnadine review: our verdict
The patio opens onto a pool of emerald water, framed by white arcades, plants, and lanterns, behind a small door in Derb Hajjama. Riad Alnadine curates its decor like a collection: lamps, mirrors, statues, and handcrafted objects chosen one by one, right down to the bronze bust placed in a living room. There are only six rooms, located in the Ben Salah quarter of the medina, just a ten-minute walk from Jemaa el-Fna.
What brings guests back is the welcome: Alain and Nadine, the owners, and their team explain the city, lend a small GPS to help you get your bearings, and hesitate not to walk you back through the alleyways in the evening or even to the taxi. The homemade breakfast is taken by the poolside or on the roof terrace. This is not a hotel with a spa and activities: here, you sleep well, enjoy a long breakfast, and set off to explore.
The insider tip: the GPS lent by the house, invaluable for first outings in the alleys. The best time slot: breakfast on the roof, bathed in the morning sun. Note: families with a young child are very welcome here.
