Street Pizzeria Napoletana review: our verdict
The oven stands prominently near the counter, its white-tiled dome emblazoned with the restaurant's name, setting the tone: here, the pizza is Neapolitan, with soft dough and puffy crusts, topped with fresh ingredients without overloading. The menu offers the classics, a few creations including a vegetarian pizza that has its followers, plus pastas, salads, and sandwiches made with pizza dough, filled with burrata.
This is a quick and cheerful downtown spot that turns a lot of heads. And for a reason: the small terrace and dining room overlook a very busy intersection, complete with traffic, honking horns, and the associated exhaust fumes. Ideal for a quick lunch or a pizza to take home; not suitable for a quiet dinner or a meeting where you want to be heard.
The pizza to order: a Neapolitan from the classic menu, for the dough. The trap: sitting on the terrace during peak hours, facing the boulevard. The good tip: takeout orders, served quickly, from noon to midnight every day.
