JUJ review: our verdict
JUJ isn't just a place to drink: it's a café-concept, and it claims it. The décor blends modern, Moroccan, and street food aesthetics, the venue bears Hakimi's signature, and the house sells its own hoodies and t-shirts. At the counter, you'll find a fresh, well-balanced iced mint tea and coffee made with quality ingredients.
It's a spot to hang out with friends, to sit alone with Wi-Fi and air conditioning, or to enjoy the terrace when the weather is nice, on Aziz Bellal street in the Maarif district. The place has energy and makes you want to stay. The service, however, depends on the team of the day: pleasant most of the time, but sometimes absent. Not for those who want to be served quickly without having to ask again.
The trap: arrive with a reservation twenty minutes later, as service can be slow. The good tip: leave with a house hoodie or t-shirt, just as carefully crafted as the drinks.
