Our review
On the road to the Dam, about twenty minutes from Marrakech, Atlas Golf Marrakech offers a short format: nine holes designed by Alain Prat, alternating par 3, par 4, and a single par 5. The fairways wind between olive trees and palms, the water and bunkers are well-placed, and the tiered greens demand precision. The 3rd, the most technical, proves challenging for many.
Here, the short game matters more than length, making it an excellent venue for practicing approach shots or introducing children to golf without discouraging them. The greens are well-maintained and the reception is friendly. The estate also includes a hotel with a hammam and a spa featuring Moroccan rituals, and a restaurant terrace overlooking the course: perfect for playing a round in the morning and spending a relaxing afternoon.
Note: no real practice area, just stations with nets, and an abandoned building spoils part of the view of the Atlas. The restaurant remains a weak point, both in the kitchen and in the upkeep of the restrooms. For a relaxed nine-hole round, without the solemnity of major courses, this address is a great choice.
