Baberrih Hôtel review: our verdict
Baberrih means "gate of the wind," and the name is fitting. The hotel stands facing Tissa Beach in Moulay Bouzerktoune, a fishing village and renowned windsurfing spot. Behind the gates lie fig and mint gardens, stone architecture, and an infinity pool that blends seamlessly with the Atlantic at sunset.
The suites, featuring green zellige and tadelakt, each have their own terrace; the restaurant serves contemporary Moroccan cuisine sourced from the hotel's kitchen garden, and breakfast highlights local specialties. Couples and families come here to unwind, practice yoga, quad bike on the beach, kitesurf, or sail. It is not the ideal base for nightly outings in Essaouira: the medina is a twenty-five-minute drive away, and the wind often blows strongly.
The best time slot is by the poolside at the end of the day, facing the setting sun. The top tip is the hotel-organized quad ride through the dunes.
