Benthai & Co review: our verdict
Between Thailand and Japan, Benthai & Co. has made no compromise: the menu aligns shrimp spring rolls, seafood curry, and sushi platters, featuring fresh ingredients and impeccable presentation. The Thai side is the most convincing, fragrant and generous, perfect to accompany with a house-made berry juice.
The room on Rue Lalla Aïcha is beautiful, the atmosphere relaxed, and the service flawless, to the point that the establishment has its regulars who return as one returns to a trusted address. Whether for a dinner for two or with friends in the new town, from noon to 11:30 PM, the place delivers without a false note. Sushi purists will be less satisfied: surimi and fresh cheese take up a lot of space here, far from Japanese rigor.
The dish to order: the seafood curry, with shrimp spring rolls as an appetizer. The trap: the sushi, if you are looking for raw fish rather than surimi and cheese.
