Chonchon & Chocolat review: our verdict
You have to take a corridor in the building opposite the Carré Eden to find Chonchon & Chocolat, and the door goes unnoticed when the sky is overcast. At the end, an airy space that is both a restaurant, a gallery and a clothing boutique, decorated with a sure touch for colour. The chocolate, as the name promises, is the highlight: intense, balanced, far from simple sugar.
You can have a fresh and generous breakfast, to the point of coming back every morning of a stay, or a lunch where the velouté and the baked egg hold their own. The atmosphere is gentle and the team is attentive. Ideal for taking a breath away from the traffic of Mohammed V Avenue, meeting friends around a brunch or strolling between two stops. Not for a coffee served in a rush: the place invites you to sit and let time pass.
Dish to order: a chocolate dessert, the specialty the name announces. Good tip: the weekday lunch formula. Pitfall: paying a small bill by card, accepted only from 150 DH (recorded in June 2026). Closed on Tuesdays.
