Mazel Café review: our verdict
Yogurt ice cream topped with amlou is what we remember from Mazel. The rest follows the same logic: simple and generous, enough for lunch, brunch, or a homemade lemonade at any time between 10 am and 8:30 pm, without leaving the medina.
The real spectacle is outside: from the terrace, Place des Ferblantiers unfolds with its carriers, carts, merchants, and tourists, under the watchful eyes of welcoming servers. We stop here alone between two souks, in pairs to catch our breath, or every year as a little ritual of return to Marrakech. Not for dinner: the house closes at 8:30 pm, and it's a stop, not a table where one lingers until night.
Dish to order: yogurt ice cream, with amlou on top. The insider tip: homemade lemonade, which can be ordered even without eating anything.
