Riad Dar Anika review: our verdict
The indoor pool, situated beneath arcades and draped in veils, is lit like a living room: this is Dar Anika's surprise. Above, a patio overrun with climbing plants rises across several levels of wrought-iron balconies, while the rooftop terrace aligns loungers and a pergola facing the roofs of the medina. The riad overlooks Riad Zitoun Lakdim street, just a five-minute walk from Jemaa el-Fna.
You come here for a first stay in Marrakech, whether as a couple or with family: the location allows you to do everything on foot from fairly wide streets, and the staff have a sense of hospitality, from airport transfers to the farewell snack provided. An on-site hammam and restaurant complete the stay. It is not an address with brand-new decor: some rooms show their age a bit.
The best tip: the riad's hammam, to end a day of souks. The best slot: sunset on the rooftop terrace. Worth seeing on the way out: the nearby art gallery, where you sometimes cross artists.
