Medina Mall Marrakech review: our verdict
Medina Mall takes a different approach to the souks: instead of labyrinthine alleys, it offers seven distinct craft universes under one roof, featuring pottery, leatherwork, textiles, zellige, and natural oils and cosmetics. The Olive Bar lines its bottles along a vaulted brick aisle, while woven basket walls complete the decor.
Opened in 2021 on Avenue Hommane-El-Fetouaki, the venue serves as both a pause and a shop: clean restrooms, a relaxation area near a fountain, and four dining options including Fluffy for pancakes, Medina Burger, and La Table Ocre. It is a destination for families, those seeking gifts without the hassle of navigating the souk, or anyone interested in workshops such as ceramics, Berber weaving, Moroccan cooking, or scented candle making. However, it is not for bargain hunters, as prices exceed those of neighboring souks.
The highlight is the ceramic painting workshop, open to both children and adults. The best time to visit is midday, when the medina is saturated and the mall remains open until 1 a.m.
