Our review
Rue Bahia, just steps from Bab Mellah, this Beldi Fusion Kitchen faces the Bahia Palace: hard to find a better spot after a visit. The menu plays on two fronts, with classics on one side—tajines and couscous—and seafood pasta, spiced lamb, and several versions of falafel on the other. More surprisingly, a pumpkin scented with orange blossom.
The meal is taken across several levels, but it's the rooftop we're aiming for, especially in the late afternoon when the light falls over the medina. The atmosphere remains relaxed, the service attentive, and the menu illustrated with photos helps those discovering Moroccan cuisine: the dishes arrive just as pictured. Shared starter platters for two, indulgent desserts, and house-made mocktails, like the rainbow cocktail, make it an easy spot for families or friends.
Know this: no alcohol is served, and couscous remains the Friday dish, as tradition dictates. For a sunset table on the roof, it's best to book; in rainy weather, we retreat indoors. A stop we keep returning to for the view as much as for the plate.
