Our review
D&CO Art Gallery is located in the industrial zone of Sidi Ghanem. Since 2006, it has occupied approximately 400 m² of exhibition space across three levels. Around forty artists, both Moroccan and foreign residents of Morocco, share the walls here: paintings, sculptures, photographs, collages, works made from recycled materials, and even furniture and design objects.
The unique feature is the integrated studio: you might witness the birth of a work of art right during your visit. The exhibitions change frequently, which encourages you to return, and the dealer welcomes visitors with a cheerful attitude, without any pretension. Collectors find a serious interlocutor accustomed to shipping a work to New York, Paris, or Shanghai; while curious visitors find a pleasant stop between two home decor showrooms in the area. The gallery also collaborates with several major hotels in the city, where some of its artists can be found.
Note: Sidi Ghanem is somewhat remote; you will need to come by car or taxi. The gallery is closed on Sundays and closes at 4 PM on Saturdays (open from 10 AM to 6 PM on weekdays). An address to slip into a mid-afternoon shopping trip for home decor in the zone, to see where local art stands.
