Désirs d'Orient review: our verdict
Two arched doors under the same sign, one for men and one for women: Désirs d'Orient has preserved the separation of traditional hammams within a spa setting, featuring an ocre-walled hammam with marble tables, followed by a relaxation room bathed in turquoise light. What brings back regulars is the exfoliation, performed with genuine technique.
You come alone to unwind from a busy week, or with a partner to enjoy the royal hammam followed by a massage. Depending on the package, you choose your exfoliation and oils, and the session concludes with an herbal tea or traditional tea. Cleanliness is maintained at every visit. This is neither a budget neighborhood hammam nor a hotel spa with a pool; it sits between the two, and is not for those seeking a steam bath rushed in twenty minutes.
The treatment to book: the royal hammam with massage. The insider tip: ask your questions on Instagram before coming, as the house responds and details the packages. Note: both sides open every day from 9 am to 8 pm.
