Fellah Hotel review: our verdict
Fellah Hotel presents itself as a farm cultivating "land and ideas," a motto that extends beyond mere words. Located 13 km from Marrakech on the road to Ourika, the hotel houses a library, an art and education space called Dar Al-Ma'mûn, a treehouse, and horses, a donkey, goats, and sheep wandering among the cactus gardens. The rooms feature a raw design with dark stone walls, island bathtubs, and large windows.
Visitors come for a slow-paced stay as a couple or with friends, or for a day at the pool with lunch, deck chair, and towel included. The service is attentive, and the simple, well-cared-for cuisine is served under a reed pergola or by the edge of the large pool. Fellah also hosts yoga retreats, weddings, and electro pool parties on certain weekends. However, it is not a hotel club; outside of events, guests read, swim, and relax.
The best deal is the pool day from 11 am to 6 pm with lunch included. The ideal time slot is breakfast by the poolside when the sun rises over the palm trees. The pitfall is booking a weekend without checking the schedule, as a pool party can change the atmosphere.
