Folie Restaurant & Sea review: our verdict
A small car will pick you up from the parking lot, setting the tone: at Folie, you're here for the day. The beach club at Bahia Golf Resort features a pool, sweeping views of the Atlantic, and a lunch that turns into a party once the DJ, singer, and dancers take the stage. The Mediterranean cuisine ranges from decent to excellent depending on the table, almost taking a back seat.
The decor is tastefully designed, and the location, next to View in Bouznika, has its own entrance. It suits a girls' outing, a group hitting the road from Casablanca or Rabat, or a birthday by the water. Service, however, often lags during peak hours. Not for a timed business lunch, nor for those judging a restaurant by portion size: portions are small relative to the prices.
The right time: lunch, when the music builds around the pool; the house opens from 10 am to midnight, every day. The trap: arriving hungry and in a hurry, with small portions and slow service.
