Hammam Mernissi review: our verdict
Black soap followed by rassoul: Hammam Mernissi's exfoliation ritual is meticulous, followed by a toning or softer massage depending on who performs it. The spot is clean and unique, tucked away on rue Serrajin in the medina, just a few steps from Bab Boujloud.
You can book on the same day, either in a private cabin for two or three people or in the communal area, and the staff are professional and warm. It is a tourist hammam and it embraces that role: those looking for a neighborhood bath, frequented by locals and priced accordingly, will find it elsewhere. Quality also depends on the experience of the person performing the service, and a novice left an exfoliation too light in February 2026.
The good deal: the "Hammam Fes" package to discover the full ritual. The trap: the private cabin, which is more expensive, around 600 DH (55 €) for a 55-minute service (noted in February 2026).
