Mouda Palace Rooftop review: our verdict
The selection of Moroccan starters reflects the house's ambition: caramelized pumpkin with cinnamon and orange blossom, eggplant purée, chakchouka, Moroccan salad, each bite precisely seasoned. Mouda Palace then serves up well-executed classics, including chicken pastilla, prune, apricot, and almond lamb tajine, and vegetarian couscous.
The palace spans several levels up to a panoramic terrace overlooking the medina, reaching its full potential at sunset. The staff is friendly and attentive. Visitors come for a terrace dinner, an aperitif with cocktails or mocktails, or mint tea with Oriental pastries. The creative menu is less reliable than the traditional one: Greek sauce chicken skewers arrived dry in August 2026.
The best time slot: golden hour from the terrace; opens at 4 PM. The dish to order: the Moroccan starters, followed by the lamb tajine with dried fruits. The best tip: finish with the pear and pistachio dessert with crispy leaves.
