Sama Rooftop Fes review: our verdict
To reach the terrace, you cross through the riad, its pool and tastefully decorated lounges, where the show begins even before you sit down. Upstairs, several open-air or glass-roofed spaces overlook the entire medina of Fes in a tranquil setting, rising above Bouajjara street.
The cuisine is varied and refined, with attentive service offering good advice. You come here for a romantic dinner, a special evening, or a drink facing the old city, while the venue also offers treatments including hammam rituals and massages, bookable even at the last minute. It is not budget-friendly: prices recall those of a luxury hotel or a Parisian rooftop, and you are paying primarily for the view.
The insider tip: combine a hammam treatment with dinner on the roof. The best time to arrive is opening hour at 3 pm to enjoy the terrace in full daylight; service runs until midnight, from 1 am on Thursdays to Saturdays.
