Hôtel & Ryads Barrière Le Naoura review: our verdict
Le Naoura has two distinct faces. On the hotel side, there is a long pool lined with sun loungers, framed by the ochre facades of the rooms, each with its own terrace; the water shifts from blue throughout the day. On the ryads side, there are twenty-six houses with three to six rooms, each with its own private pool, allowing you to live at the gates of the medina as if at home, without suffering from the noise.
For a couple seeking the comfort of a large hotel just steps away from the souks, or a family entrusting children aged 4-12 to the kids' club. In the evening, you can dine at Beefbar or by the water at Wardya, followed by cocktails and tapas at Nuphar Bar. This is not a charming riad at a low price: you pay for the Barrière signature, and the atmosphere remains that of a palace, service included.
The good find: the spa, with hammam, sauna, and heated indoor pool, for days when the sun is too strong. The best time slot: the late afternoon by the large basin. To note: Jemaa el-Fna square is a ten-minute walk away.
