Kech Boutique Hotel review: our verdict
Here, everything revolves around the pool. Ground-floor rooms open directly onto it via large glass windows, and lounge chairs are filled up as soon as the morning comes, while the 1.40-meter-deep basin is better suited for quiet swimming than for laps. The rest plays up comfort without any fuss: spacious rooms, large beds, well-equipped bathrooms, and a breakfast that mixes a French-style buffet with Moroccan treats.
It is a good base for a short stay for a couple or friends who want to alternate between the water's edge and city outings, with the medina just a ten-minute walk away. On-site, there are three restaurants (Rossini, Pool House, Ginger), a hammam with massages and facial treatments, a gym, and a small area to watch matches. It is not the address for those seeking a boutique hotel full of character: this is a city hotel, practical rather than picturesque.
The catch: the carpets in the corridors and some rooms are not always clean, so check if you are traveling with a baby or have allergies. The tip: the day pass, to enjoy the pool without booking a room. The best time slot: arrive early, as the best lounge chairs go quickly.
