La Ferme El Dar review: our verdict
In the evening, when the bar and pool are bathed in soft light, you understand why you made the journey. La Ferme El Dar brings the countryside to the gates of Marrakech: an estate planted with olive trees, farm animals, long pools lined with loungers, original lodges, and a glass-walled restaurant with a checkered floor that opens onto the garden.
You come here for a two-night break, a massage, a weekend with friends, or even to privatize the estate for a birthday. The team is attentive and the silence is absolute. This is not a base for exploring the medina: you need a car, and once settled by the water, you have little desire to leave. The rooms, beautifully decorated, remain dark in some, with bathrooms that are somewhat impractical.
The trap: expecting country prices for dinner, the bill is that of a good European restaurant. The ideal time slot: the end of the day by the water, followed by a drink at the bar as night falls. The best tip: privatization, for a party with friends far from the city.
