Le 68 Bar à vins review: our verdict
Le 68 announces itself with a number: 68, designed in cork stoppers on a black wall at the foot of the stairs. The rest is up to interpretation, with dark wood paneling, barrels, a glass-walled cellar full of bottles, and low lights that invite you to linger. The wine list goes beyond the usual references in Morocco, and the team knows how to pair a glass with a plate.
On the culinary side, there is a short and travel-inspired menu: cheese boards, tapas, and slow-cooked dishes in a bistro style served with tagliatelles. People come here in pairs or with friends for a drawn-out evening, and the non-smoking floor allows you to escape the smoke. This is not a bar for partying or large gatherings: the room is small and the atmosphere is subdued.
The glass to order is the one recommended by the team, as the cellar holds surprises. The dish to order is a cheese board to accompany the bottle. The best time to come is on weekdays from 6 p.m. to secure a quiet table; the bar is closed on Sundays.
