Nobu Hotel Marrakech review: our verdict
From the rooftop of Nobu Hotel Marrakech, the city sprawls above Hivernage, and that's primarily why you come up. Whether for lunch or dinner, the house's Japanese cuisine stands up to the comparison with the panorama, and cocktails naturally find their place facing Marrakech's rooftops in an elegant setting extended by the pool.
The venue targets an outgoing clientele: a group of friends for a drink at the end of the day, a dinner for two seeking height, or a lunch in the sun. The welcome at reception and on the rooftop is often attentive, but not all staff have the same role, and the gap is visible when compared to the displayed standard. Not for a New Year's Eve dinner where every detail must follow: even if booked weeks in advance, a large table is not always guaranteed.
The drink to order: a cocktail on the terrace, facing the city. The right slot: lunch on the rooftop, when the cuisine and the view are up to it. The trap: coming as a group without having confirmed your table.
