Our review
Bab Hotel has understood that in Marrakech, you don't spend your days locked in your room. The hotel relies on service and the dining table: a concierge, bellhop, and attentive reception, a full breakfast with choices for every taste, and on the roof, BABQAL, the rooftop restaurant where you dine on fresh produce cuisine without breaking the bank.
The location does the rest: at the corner of boulevard Mansour Eddahbi, right in the heart of Guéliz, you go out and come back on foot. It's the address for a city-break for two or with friends, for those who want a modern Marrakech, an attentive team, and a price that remains reasonable for this level of service. It's not a riad: the medina isn't at the foot of the door, and those who come looking for patios and alleyways will rather stay on the other side of the ramparts.
The good tip: dine at BABQAL on the roof, even if you sleep elsewhere. The trap: the bedding divides, between beds considered very comfortable and mattresses that are frankly hard; if you sleep poorly on a firm bed, report it right upon arrival.
