KABANA review: our verdict
On the roof of KABANA, you drink facing the Koutoubia, surrounded by so many plants that the bustle of the souks, just below, eventually fades away. The cocktail menu is long and inventive; the Pornstar Martini, with its well-presented passion fruit, is the one we recommend first. On the plate side, a Mediterranean cuisine that accompanies the drinks without stealing their spotlight.
On Friday evenings, a band plays live and the rooftop takes on the air of a party. The team is smiling, the service attentive, and the place works just as well for a drink for two as for a family outing after a day in the medina. Those who dream of a traditional Moroccan setting will be disappointed: the ambiance looks toward the Mediterranean, and the prices are also, clearly above the neighborhood average.
The glass to order: the Pornstar Martini. The trap: a cocktail that is too light on alcohol, it happens; specify it when ordering. The good slot: sunset, when the light falls on the minaret, or Friday for the music.
