Le Odette review: our verdict
Le Odette earns its reputation. First, you must find La Sultana, at the end of a small street in the Kasbah, directly opposite the pharmacy, then go up: the bar occupies the hotel's roof, featuring a terrace of impeccable elegance and Moroccan-style decor. Up there, cocktails and mocktails are up to the address's standard, and the mezze menu accompanies a drink as well as a dinner.
The service matches the house's standing, attentive and listening, including to remarks. You go up for a quiet drink, far from the medina's bustle, or for a evening you want to mark with someone. Not for a budget round among friends: the prices are those of a palace, and you come first for the drinks and the setting rather than for a large meal.
Le bon plan: call upon arrival or leave the car with the hotel's valet, as the entrance is hard to spot. The best time slot: even in winter, the terrace remains open for dinner, with blankets and heat lamps to help. Open every day from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
