Le Méridien N'Fis review: our verdict
The large palm-lined swimming pool is the defining feature of Le Méridien N'Fis. Surrounding it is a garden and a courtyard where you can dine beneath the palms, while the recently renovated rooms, in shades of sand and wood with clean lines and illuminated headboards, stand in stark contrast to the older generation. For regular guests, this renovation has truly changed the game.
It is an effective base for a family stay or a business trip: a generous and varied buffet breakfast, a fitness centre facing the pool, a shopping mall just across the street, and the medina a ten-minute taxi ride away. This is not the place for those seeking the charm of a riad or bespoke service; you are in a chain hotel, polished and predictable, with rooms that can sometimes be small.
The catch: booking with Marriott Bonvoy points hoping for a king-sized bed, as only twin rooms are sometimes offered. The best time slot: the afternoon by the pool, the highlight of the property. The best tip: ask for a renovated room.
