Maison MK Rooftop review: our verdict
Facing the Koutoubia Mosque almost at eye level, with the sky turning orange behind the rooftops of the Ksour district, the Maison MK Rooftop primarily sells this moment. Decorated with pierced lanterns, orange awnings, and pastel chairs, the terrace fills up at sunset, offering a cocktail menu and Moroccan and French cuisine for those who stay for dinner.
Whether for a drink for two or with friends before heading out to dinner elsewhere, it is a good spot in the medina, with music that sets the tone without overpowering conversation. For a full meal, it is more debatable: service can be slow when the terrace is full, and dishes are pricey for their size. It is not suitable for a tight budget or a rushed dinner.
The drink to order: a sunset cocktail, the moment when the view justifies the price. The pitfall: the cost of dishes, around 185 DH for a kefta tajine and 100 DH for a mocktail (as of May 2026); also expect to carry cash, as the card terminal is not always in service. The best time to arrive: before sunset, when the edge tables are still free.
